Drama Production -Fall AND Winter Club Sessions
Instructor: Black Box Studios - Professional educational theatre company that has operated in Bergen County since 2007.
Grades: 3-5, (3:35-4:30pm)
Wednesdays:  18 Sessions: October 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18, December 2, 16, 30, January 6, February 3, 10, 17,24, March 3,10, 17, 31, April 7 (there will also be additional rehearsals before the show).
Min: 10, Max: 25 students
Fee: $550 per student for 19 weeks

For 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys and girls - both returning students and newcomers who are curious about trying something new - the He’Atid/Black Box Studios Drama Club is a fun, welcoming opportunity to explore the world of theater in a low-pressure and collaborative environment.

Students will participate in acting exercises, improvisation, theater games, character development, scene work, and more, all while building confidence and learning to work as part of an ensemble. The club is designed to be enjoyable for students of all experience levels, whether they have performed before or have never stepped on a stage.

A working professional Teaching Artist from the area’s longest-running performing arts school will lead the group and guide students through activities that help develop important skills such as poise, clear projection, public speaking, self-confidence, creativity, teamwork, and overcoming stage fright. Students will have the opportunity to discover their individual strengths while encouraging and supporting one another.

The sessions will build toward an early-spring performance of a one-act comedy, giving students the exciting opportunity to put their new skills into practice and perform for family, friends, and fans! From the first theater game to the final curtain call, students will have the chance to make new friends, have fun, and experience the excitement of being part of a production.

No previous acting experience is necessary, just a willingness to participate, have fun, and give it a try!
